LBO Pioneer KKR Goes Public

Private-equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. plans to go public by year-end as part of its plan to bail out the company’s struggling Euronext-listed investment fund.

KKR Private Equity Investors (PINK: KPEQF), which has lost 40% of its value year-to-date and is currently listed on Euronext Amsterdam, will be dissolved as part of the deal, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. announced via a press release posted on its website. Current shareholders of the investment fund will receive shares of the newly formed entity, KKR & Co. LP (KKR) , which will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Last Saturday morning my father and I made our weekly trip to the local Lowes. For some reason, it has been a tradition amongst the men in my family to make at least one home improvement store trip each Saturday.
