I have been studying short sales for quite some time, and think that the housing market will not recover unless majority of these properties undergo a short sale.  The bank is not in the business of holding properties, so they need to allow trasactions to take place where they will mitigate their losses.  The deals out there are phenomenal.  I have been working with a couple of short sale companies who really have it down, and have purcahsed over 20 properties.  If anyone is looking for a competent company to conduct a short sale I would advise them to do their research first.  Certain companies like www.HousingAssist.com have trained their staff to understand the ins and outs of the business as you have discussed in this article. Do your research before working with the smaller companies!!</description>
