California’s only problem is Washington. They have a 50+ billion dollar short fall with fed taxes paid vs received. if they didn’t have to support MS, AL, VA,HI,MS,MI etc. they’d be no crisis. it’s liberalism, socialism, equalization (whatever you want to call it) but not California it’s Washington.

Sure…. let the damn fools fail. Prehaps they will open their eyes and correct spending that does not have funds. These damn politicians can’t keep giving us “some one else’s money” to buy their vote!

If Washington D.C. isn’t going to let GM, AIG, or Citibank go belly-up, do you really think they’ll let a big state go bankrupt? You can be sure Obama and the current federal government will not let the California slide into the ocean and default on its obligations to investors. This provides us with an incredible opportunity to buy high-yielding discounted municipal paper.
