2008 U.S. General Election Maps
With all the recent polling, editor Chris Bowers, over at Open Left has put together some preliminary election map results in the battle between Hillary Clinton and either Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney.
Clinton 335-203 Giuliani
Clinton 430-108 Romney

There are the obvious assumptions here, but it helps to paint a picture of what the electoral landscape looks like at the current moment.
“Three-out-of-four Democrats (75%) believe that if Clinton wins the nomination, she is at least somewhat likely to win the White House in 2008. Seventy-three percent (73%) of Democrats say the same about Edwards and 69% think Obama is at least somewhat likely to win if nominated. However, there is a higher degree of confidence in Clinton than other candidates. Forty-one percent (41%) of Democrats say that Clinton is Very Likely to win the White House if nominated. Just 26% say the same about Obama and 24% have that confidence in Edwards.” – Rasmussen Reports
Bottom Line: Don’t Underestimate Clinton.
I remember a similar argument a while back when people were saying there was no way Bush would be re-elected in 2004.
