Religion’s Unintended Curse
Since the beginning of time, people created and followed their religions to live life in a moral manner and to respect one another. Unfortunately, religious extremism between the Western and Muslim states have continued to plague society.

The recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon in response to the capture of their two soldiers may be the tipping point to inevitable military escalation. Now it appears as if the Middle East is set for yet another round of conflict with no end in sight. Although it is unknown what the consequences will be, we can be sure that oil prices will continue to rise, stock markets will continue to pull back or remain flat, and that the current situation in Iran can not go unresolved. For Iran, it would be the battle against the West they have craved and a distraction to their nuclear efforts. With the United States bogged down in Iraq, they believe this is their opportunity to strike undetected and make Israel look like the aggressor. I believe Iran and its supporters are displaying poor judgment that will be corrected by American and Israeli resolve.
